‘Patialvi Patrakar’ authored by Ujagar Singh released

Patiala -Patialvi Patrakar, a Punjabi book authored by Sardar Ujagar Singh, former District Public Relations Officer of Punjab, was released here today by Principal Babu Singh Guram, a renowned educationist and social worker of Patiala.
Congratulating the author on this commendable initiative, Principal Guram said that documenting the lives, achievements and social contributions of journalists who have made significant contributions to the field of journalism would serve as a valuable legacy for future generations.
Ujagar Singh informed that the publication of Patialvi Patrakar has been sponsored by Principal Babu Singh Guram, for which he expressed his heartfelt gratitude.
In the book, Sardar Ujagar Singh has provided detailed accounts of the lives, journalistic journeys and valuable contributions to society of approximately 158 journalists associated with Patiala across different eras. The book is a meaningful effort to preserve Patiala’s rich journalistic heritage and bring it to the attention of readers.
It is worth mentioning that Sardar Ujagar Singh has previously authored around 17 books on diverse social, historical, political and literary subjects. These include Patiala Di Virasat, Samkali Samaj, Siyasat Ate Lok Sampark, Punjab De 52 Ratan Heere, Sardar Beant Singh Qatal Da Asal Sach, Punjab Dian Anmol Ratan Shakhsiyatan and Apne Sikh Samaj De Masle, among others.
A Legacy for Future Generations
Principal Babu Singh Guram lauded Sardar Ujagar Singh’s literary and research-based initiatives, stating that such writings play a significant role in preserving the lives and contributions of prominent personalities and important events in the pages of history.
He expressed the hope that more writers would take the initiative to write on such subjects and provide meaningful guidance to society through their pen. He said that Patialvi Patrakar would prove to be an invaluable resource for readers, researchers and the younger generation seeking to understand Patiala’s journalistic heritage.

On the occasion, Sardar Ujagar Singh said that Sardar Manmohan Singh, son of his late friend and renowned Patiala journalist Sardar Sohan Singh—who published a daily newspaper under the title Tir Kaman;has undertaken the responsibility of publishing the second edition of Patialvi Patrakar within the next six months.
Sardar Manmohan Singh, ex Deputy Secretary in the Public Relations Department of the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, has also undertaken the responsibility to send copies of the book to universities across Punjab that have departments of journalism.
