Chandigarh- Responding to the Punjab Chief Minister's remark, Bharatiya Janata Party  state unit President Kewal Singh Dhillon on Thursday said instead of answering the serious allegations confronting his government, Bhagwant Mann attempted to mislead the people with diversionary statements and theatrical excuses.

Dhillon said throughout the press conference that CM Mann deliberately avoided answering the most serious questions about Punjab.

He maintained complete silence on the alleged Rs 10 lakh bribe, the fake forensic report, the Gurugram first information report (FIR), and the disturbing collusion of Punjab Police, which allegedly used a fabricated report as a shield to suppress the truth and protect those involved.

Dhillon said in a statement that Bhagwant Mann should remove the mask of lies, as Punjab is watching everything.

He further questioned the silence of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal, stating that his refusal to respond raises even more serious questions about the AAP leadership's involvement.

Dhillon said that when those in power become part of a conspiracy, they lose the moral courage to face the truth. He added that the continued silence of Kejriwal and the evasive conduct of Mann only strengthen public suspicion that this conspiracy runs deeper than what is currently visible.

The BJP chief asserted that the people of Punjab deserved full transparency and accountability. He said no government can be allowed to manipulate institutions, fabricate evidence, and misuse the police machinery to bury the truth.

Demanding immediate accountability, Dhillon said that Punjab is seeking clear answers and not political drama. He stated that CM Mann has lost all moral authority to continue in office and must resign immediately.

CM Mann presented evidence exposing a conspiracy behind a fake video circulated on social media to malign his image on religious grounds. Displaying videos and other material before the media, the Chief Minister said a mask resembling him was procured and used to create the fabricated video.

He also identified Canada-based Jagman Samra as the person who, he said, used the mask to shoot the video.
