New Delhi-Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and general secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon today said that the year-long observance marking the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji, and his revered companions Bhai Mati Das Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji and Bhai Dayala Ji will culminate on december 14, 2026. The DSGMC is organising a series of religious and Gurmat programmes to commemorate this historic occasion.
Sardar Kalka and Sardar Kahlon said that, in response to the overwhelming demand of sikh sangat, Sehaj Paaths of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji are once again being initiated this year, as was done last year. The special programme marking the commencement of the Sehaj Paaths will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall, Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib.
Both leaders appealed to families who have not yet had the opportunity to undertake a sehaj paath to come forward and participate in this sacred initiative.Both urged the sangat to attend the commencement programme on September 26 and begin their Sehaj Paath with devotion and reverence.
Kalka and Kahlon also said that families who undertook Sehaj Paaths last year and received Sanchi Sahib from the Gurdwara Sahib may bring their respective volumes with them. The DSGMC will also make Sanchi Sahib available to families undertaking Sehaj Paath afresh.
Sardar Kalka and Sardar Kahlon emphasised that a Sehaj Paath is not merely a religious observance, but a deeply meaningful opportunity to connect with the sacred Gurbani, bring the light of Gurmat into family life and seek the blessings of Guru Sahib.Both leaders appealed to a maximum number of families and members of the sangat to become part of this spiritually enriching initiative.
