Both added that Guru Nanak Dev Ji inspired humanity to rise above superstitions, prejudices and social discrimination, connect with the one almighty, and treat every human being with equality, dignity and respect.
Both also added that the sacred wedding anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Mata Sulakhni Ji reminds us of the enduring importance of love, trust, mutual respect, cooperation and responsibility in family life. By embracing the Grihasth way of life and actively engaging with society, Guru Nanak Dev Ji demonstrated in practice the principles of naam japna, kirat karni and Vand Chhakna.
Kalka and Kahlon appealed to the sikh sangat to dedicate this sacred occasion to imbibing the teachings of Guru Sahib in their daily lives, serving the needy, working for the welfare of humanity and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and harmony in society.
