CHANDIGARH-The Punjab Governor and Administrator, Union Territory, Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, while extending greetings on the occasion of Kabir Jayanti, called upon the people to work together and contribute in strengthening the fabric of social harmony, equality and brotherhood, as preached and practiced by the great saint.
In a message, the Governor said that saint Kabir's Philosophy calls for truthful living, humanism, unity of mankind and selfless devotion to God. His Vani in Sri Guru Granth Sahib kindles the conscious of human beings with special emphasis on purity of mind and exhorts the masses to lead a peaceful and purposeful life. He advocated the cause of our oppressed sections and propagated the message of casteless and classless society.
The Governor appealed to the people to follow the teachings of the great spiritual master and propagate his philosophy for the betterment, progress and prosperity of our society especially the poor and disadvantaged.
