Kaumimarg Bureau | February 01, 2024 09:20 PM

Amritsar-Senior BJP leader Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today termed the Union Interim Budget as development oriented that will induce growth especially in renewable energy and tourism. He said all sectors including infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, and defence have been taken care of and adequate allocations have been made.

The budget, he said, will give push to economic development and welfare of common people. He said that the Modi government has primarily focused on women ‘Nari Shakti’ and general development as part of its Viksit Bharat target. The pro-poor policies, IT sector, digital services and industries in general have been happy with the budget and so were the farmers.

Chhina hailed the announcement of strengthening the rail network, free solar power for one crore families, houses for the poor and added that present allocations for economically weaker sections had also been continued, which is a welcome step. “No fresh taxes have been announced. This is a major relief for the common person and subsidies to farmers pursuing animal husbandry, fisheries and green technology in agro industry is another major step taken in the budget.
