LUDHIANA: Ravneet Singh Bittu, the grandson of late Chief Minister Sardar Beant Singh, contesting Lok Sabha poll from Ludhiana on BJP ticket would file his nomination papers on May 10 and make it a memorable occasion.
Bittu has decided to go to file nominations papers in iconic ambassador car PB10X 1919 of his grandfather Sardar Beant Singh. Bittu said that he and his family has emotional bonding with the ambassador car in which his grandfather being PPCC president travelled lakhs of kilometers around the state during days of militancy. "I have the legacy of the great political personality of his times", he added with pride on his face.
Bittu said that the car is maintained by them and the whole family feels proud of the achievements and sacrifice of Sardar Beant Singh. He said that whenever they need the blessing of Sardar Beant Singh, they use this car. "I will the feel the presence of my grandson, while filing nomination papers", he quipped.
