SAS Nagar-Former Cabinet Minister, Sardar Balbir Singh Sidhu said that congress will win Anandpur Lok Sabha Seat under the leadership of Vijay Inder Singla with unprecedented margin. He informed that core team of Mohali congress party is geared up and campaign has started in full swing.
Sidhu said this during a congress core team meeting here today. Mayor Mohali, Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor along with 36 councillors were present on the occasion. He said all councillors while ignoring mutual differences have joined hands with common consensus to support Vijay Inder Singla in the coming election for the progress of Mohali. He said development of the Anandpur constituency along with Mohali is of paramount importance.
Balbir Singh Sidhu said Congress leader Rahul Gandhi raised burning issues like unemployment and inflation, promising paanch nyay or five guarantees to youth, women, farmers, workers and social justice to marginalized sections. He said that the party would fight “to protect the Constitution and democracy in the country”. The 48-page manifesto garnered tremendous public traction with its promised guarantees of government jobs, caste census, social security for gig workers, and cash transfer of Rs 1 lakh/year for poor women.
Apart from it, the Congress manifesto deals with farm distress and the long-drawn farmer agitation against the Modi government in a separate section. It has promised to make Minimum Support Price a legal right.
Sidhu said the initial phase of voting is clearing the way of Congress in the centre. Sidhu said just like the BJP, the AAP party is also dangerous for the health of Punjab. He said that Bhagwant Mann has no vision and Finance Minister of Punjab, Harpal Singh Cheema is taking Punjab towards financial emergency. Sidhu said a strong desire for change is evident in the eyes of people of Punjab. He urged people of Mohali to support the Vijay Inder Singla for the development of Mohali and constituency.
