New Delhi, The Enforcement Directorate on Friday said it had attached a Rs 1.94 crore property of former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala in the national capital in a disproportionate assets case.

According to the probe agency, the property, comprising land and a farm house, has been attached under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. The ED earlier attached properties worth Rs 4.15 crore of Om Prakash Chautala.

Chandigarh, A polling agent was arrested for interfering with the voting process in a booth in Haryana's Faridabad.

"Prompt action taken. FIR (first information report) lodged. Person behind bars. Observer enquired the matter personally and is satisfied that polling was never vitiated," said the District Election Office on its official Twitter account on Sunday.

The BJP, the Congress and Om Prakash Chautala's Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) are the three main parties in the fray.

New Delhi, The Delhi High Court on Wednesday asked the city government to consider, within a week, former Haryana Chief Minister O.P. Chautala's plea seeking parole.

Justice A.K. Chawla asked the government to communicate its decision to him immediately thereafter.

The court was hearing Chautala's plea seeking parole for a period of three months as his wife is critically ill and admitted in a hospital.

Chandigarh, With the last date for filing of nominations being April 23, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) on Wednesday announced its candidates for six Lok Sabha seats in Haryana.

The announcement was made by INLD leader Abhay Chautala here.

Chautala said candidates for the remaining seats would be announced after consultation with party President Om Prakash Chautala.

The government's standing counsel Rahul Mehra told the court that Chautala is seeking parole for political purposes and he should not be granted relief considering the general elections.
