Chandigarh-The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab thanked the court for their order to form a panel of AIIMS doctors for regular health checkup of AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in jail and said that Arvind Kejriwal is deliberately being denied insulin as part of a conspiracy against him.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in Chandigarh on Tuesday, Aam Aadmi Party Punjab leader and spokesperson Neel Garg said that we are thankful to the court that due to the court's order, Arvind Kejriwal was given insulin today.
Neel Garg said that ever since the formation of Narendra Modi led-BJP government at the centre, the country's democracy is under threat and it is being pushed towards dictatorship. He said that the BJP wants to implement a single party system in the country. They want that there should be no opposition party in the country. That is why they are trying to finish opposition parties illegally and unconstitutionally and opposition leaders are being put in jail.
AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal was arrested, without any evidence, just to stop him from campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that Kejriwal has been put in jail only because he created a new way of thinking in the politics of India. He used to talk about education and health. He used to talk about giving employment to the youth. He used to talk about giving free electricity and water to the people.
They have deliberately put Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain in jail. Whereas Satyendra Jain brought the health revolution in Delhi and Manish Sisodia made the government schools of Delhi world class. The work done by Manish Sisodia in the field of education is discussed even in America. BJP could not tolerate this, Sisodia is in jail for one and a half years now without any fault.
He said that in the case of AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, the Supreme Court itself said that the ED has no evidence against him, so he is acquitted. Sanjay Singh was arrested only because he used to speak against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Adani in Parliament.
He alleged that the investigating agencies are working at the behest of the PMO. On the behest of the BJP, the ED released a fake diet chart of Arvind Kejriwal.
While everyone knows that Arvind Kejriwal has been a diabetic patient for a long time. Therefore, he needs insulin, yet he was denied insulin as part of a conspiracy against him. Therefore, his sugar level was very high for the last 10 days and all this was being done at the behest of the BJP and the PMO.
He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he himself is keeping an eye on the activities of Arvind Kejriwal in jail through CCTV link. This is extremely unfair and illegal. He warned the BJP and said that if tomorrow something untoward happens to Arvind Kejriwal in jail, then Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be directly responsible for it.
