Patients who fell ill due to consumption of spurious liquor return home after full recovery: DC

Sangrur-: All the 28 citizens who fell ill due to consumption of spurious liquor have been returned from various government and private hospitals and these persons have now returned to their homes after full recovery. Giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal said that the experts of the health department will continuously monitor the health of these persons to avoid any kind of problems. Deputy Commissioner said that the administration was on high alert and strict vigilance was being kept in the affected villages of spurious liquor as well as in other nearby areas. He has appealed to the people to be aware of any kind of rumors in this regard. He also said that Police and Excise Department have formed vigilance teams to prevent the smuggling of liquor which are implementing continuous checking. He said that the model code of conduct was in force in the district and in accordance with it, a large number of flying squads were also operational to keep a sharp eye on all kinds of activities. He appealed to the residents of the district that if they notice any kind of suspicious activity around them, they must share the information on the police helpline number 112.
