A new book ‘Global Sustainable Development for Quality Living-Now and After’ was released today at Khalsa College of Education (KCE) by Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina. The Book is a joint work of Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, and Dr. Amandeep Kaur and highlights the new challenges before the world relating sustainable development
Chhina said poverty, hunger, education, health disparities, environmental degradation, gender inequalities and financial crisis are major challenges today. And to meet these challenges, there is need to craft an inclusive, holistic and comprehensive roadmap. Dr.Harpreet said the book is a step towards compiling the ideas and suggestions of Economists, Educationists, Psychologists, Sociologists, Technologists, Scientists and Philosophers from across the nation.
“The experiences shared by these scholars will not only help to understand the challenges but will also help in working out strategies to turn these challenges into opportunities”, said she adding that eminent academicians and researchers from different universities and colleges from all over the nation contributed their articles in this book. On this occasion joint secretaries Ajmer Singh Heir, Gurpreet Singh Gill were present.
