New Delhi -Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee President Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka and general secretary Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon announced that teachers, volunteers, and sikh organisations who made significant contributions to the success of the gurmat camp 2026, organised by the DSGMC during the summer vacations, will be specially honoured.
The DSGMC leaders said that a special felicitation ceremony will be held on saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Bhai Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall in New Delhi, to encourage the sevadars who served with dedication to connect children with gurmukhi, gurbani, and gurmat principles.
Both leaders stated that the gurmat camps were organised to connect children with their great sikh heritage, gurbani, and the gurmukhi language. Both added that the service rendered by teachers, volunteers, and sikh organisations in this sacred mission is highly commendable, and that honouring them will inspire other sevadars to undertake similar endeavours.
Sardar Kalka and Sardar Kahlon appealed to the entire sangat to participate in large numbers in the special ceremony on October 10 and encourage all the brothers and sisters who contributed to the success of the gurmat camps. Both also said that the sangat’s presence and support would serve as a major source of motivation for those engaged in seva and would further strengthen the initiative to connect children with the sikh faith.
