New Delhi - President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, Sardar Harmeet Singh Kalka, and the general secretary, Sardar Jagdeep Singh Kahlon, have announced that the Gurpurab marking the Joti Jot of the founder of the sikh faith, Dhan-Dhan Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, will be observed with profound reverence, devotion, and spiritual fervour at Gurudwara Nanak Piao Sahib on Monday, 5 October 2026.
Both leaders stated that, on this sacred occasion, a full day of religious programmes—including gurbani kirtan, katha-vichar, and other spiritual events—will be conducted from early morning hours to late night. Both added that devotees will attain spiritual bliss by listening to the holy hymns of the guru and will share in the blessings of the Guru’s abode.
Sardar Kalra and Sardar Kahlon have appealed to all members of the congregation to attend Gurudwara Nanak Piao Sahib in large numbers, along with their families, on this holy Gurpurab, to bow in humility before the Guru and partake in the divine grace of the Guru’s house.
