Fatehgarh Sahib- Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Senior Vice President of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar Surjit), stated that a dual legal system operates in our country; it treats other citizens with compassion but functions differently when it comes to Sikhs. For instance, while the assassins of Rajiv Gandhi have been released, our Sikh prisoners remain incarcerated even after serving sentences twice the duration of their original terms; furthermore, their parole—a right to which every prisoner is entitled—is not even being considered. S. Dhindsa was speaking to reporters at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib during the two-day 'Bandi Singh Release March' launched by the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha. He emphasized that the release of the Bandi Singhs is a major Panthic issue on which the entire Panth stands united. Held under the aegis of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and led by the Panj Piaras, this two-day march for the release of Bandi Singhs (Sikh prisoners) commenced at Sri Fatehgarh Sahib and will conclude tomorrow, October 3, upon reaching Takht Sri Damdama Sahib. A large number of devotees participated in the event, alongside various Sikh organizations, political parties, farmers' unions, and human rights groups. S. Dhindsa stated that the objective of the march is to raise public awareness regarding the release of the Bandi Singhs and to exert pressure on the government to halt further human rights violations and immediately release the prisoners. At the commencement of today's march, leaders of the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha were joined by S. Dhindsa, as well as S. Harinderpal Singh Chandumajra (Shiromani Akali Dal Punar-Surjit), Youth President S. Gurjit Singh Talwandi, S. Harvel Singh Madhopur, S. Randhir Singh Rakhra, S. Mandeep Singh Tarkhanmajra, S. Jaswant Singh Pudain, S. Bhupinder Singh Sekhupur, Advocate Ravinder Singh Shahpur, S.
