Bhagwant Mann Govt Committed to Fulfilling Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj's Vision of Equality & Social Justice: Lal Chand Kataruchak

PHAGWARA- Punjab Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak on Sunday participated in the Ravidassia Samaj Chetna Sant Sammelan organised in Phagwara to mark the 650th Parkash Purab celebrations of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj. Addressing a large gathering, he said that the teachings of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj continue to inspire millions across the world and remain a guiding force for building an egalitarian and discrimination-free society.

Expressing gratitude to the devotees who attended the event in large numbers despite the rain, Lal Chand Kataruchak said the overwhelming participation reflected the deep respect and devotion people have for Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj. “The Bhagwant Mann Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has taken several historic initiatives to commemorate the 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj.”

He noted, “These include the establishment of the Sant Ravidas Bani Adhyayan Kendra at Ballan, promotion of literature and documentaries based on the life and teachings of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj, and preparations for special trains to facilitate devotees visiting places associated with the revered Guru Sahib.”

 The Cabinet Minister assured the gathering that the Punjab Government would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the Parkash Purab celebrations are organised on a grand scale and in a manner befitting the legacy of Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj.

Highlighting the importance of safeguarding constitutional values, Lal Chand Kataruchak said the ideals of equality, justice and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution must be protected. He said attempts to weaken constitutional institutions and the rights of marginalised communities must be firmly resisted.

Appreciating the resolutions adopted by the gathering, the Minister assured the community that he would convey their concerns and sentiments to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He reiterated that the Punjab Government stands with every section of society in protecting their rights and aspirations.

Calling upon people to work collectively towards realising Sri Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj’s vision of a society free from discrimination, inequality and injustice, Lal Chand Kataruchak urged everyone to follow the Guru’s teachings in letter and spirit. He also extended heartfelt greetings to the Sangat on the historic Parkash Purab and reaffirmed the Punjab Government’s commitment to promoting the ideals of social harmony, equality and human dignity.
