Chandigarh- A meeting of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Punar-Surjit) committee on political affairs was held at Makhan Shah Lubana Bhawan, Chandigarh, under the chairmanship of Secretary General S. Gurpartap Singh Wadala. In the meeting, a resolution was passed unanimously appealing to Singh Sahib Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj that before the 27 June General House, the current President of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee S. Harjinder Singh Dhami and former President S. Kirpal Singh Badungar should be summoned and asked under what compulsion they committed the sin of not obeying the December 2, 2024 hukamnamas. Describing the proceedings of the meeting, S. Gurpartap Singh Wadala said that the December 2 hukamnamas had a clear order that a seven-member committee under the leadership of S. Dhami would be formed to recruit for the Akali Dal and bring forward new leadership. But S. Harjinder Singh Dhami resigned from the presidency of the SGPC and the seven-member committee to evade responsibility. On the instruction of Akali Dal (Badal) President Sukhbir Singh Badal, he withdrew his resignation from the SGPC presidency within a few days, but without giving any specific reason, he kept away from the seven-member membership committee. Looking at him, former President Kirpal Singh Badungar also rebelled against the hukamnama and resigned from the membership committee. S. Wadala said that now when these leaders are talking about getting the hukamnamas implemented, they should also be asked why they did not obey that hukamnama when the responsibility was on them. Not only that, the SGPC President is continuously sharing meetings and stages with Sukhbir Singh Badal, who called the December 2 hukamnamas a conspiracy against him. S. Wadala reminded Singh Sahib that several SGPC members have submitted written complaints to you regarding action against Sukhbir Singh Badal, who called the December 2 hukamnamas a conspiracy to kill him. Along with these two leaders, you should also settle the complaint received against Sukhbir Singh Badal. So that no one dares to go against the hukamnamas issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib again. The 15 June hukamnama has raised hope that you will, with the same courage, get all orders and hukamnamas issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib after 1999 but never implemented, approved. Beginning this process, first of all, President Harjinder Singh Dhami and Kirpal Singh Badungar should appear before Sri Akal Takht Sahib and be punished for not obeying the December 2 hukamnamas. They should also be questioned for humiliating and removing the Jathedars who pronounced those hukamnamas. Furthermore, those who disobeyed the order of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to maintain unity until the 300th centenary celebrations in 1999 should also be exposed before the Panth by you. Clarification should also be sought regarding the hukamnama for making rules for appointment and retirement of Jathedars, action against those who violated the orders of not associating with RSS and established political relationships of husband and wife, and the order to start their own channel, which were not obeyed. We also demand that the announcement of the complete boycott of those who accepted everything before the Panj Singh Sahibaan and the Sangat on 2 December 2024 and then backtracked be made from the Takht's platform. S. Wadala said that the Core Committee jointly praised the Jathedar, saying that just as he called everyone to account without caring about the governments of the day, in the same way he should boldly decide against Dhami, Badungar, and Sukhbir Singh Badal. Because the responsibility of ensuring compliance with the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib now lies on his shoulders. Today's meeting was attended by, apart from S. Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Bibi Jagir Kaur, Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra, S. Gobind Singh Longowal, S. Sucha Singh Chhotepur, S. Sarwan Singh Phillaur, Bibi Paramjit Kaur Gulshan, S.
