CHANDIGARH- Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today condemned the bomb blast at a railway track near Rajpura in Patiala district last night, warning that these were dangerously ominous signs for Punjab.

He blamed the Aam Aadmi Party government’s incompetence for putting the hard earned peace in Punjab at stake. “While the AAP is busy in saving its own government, Punjab has been left to its own fate”, he remarked while referring to a series of incidents that took place across Punjab last night. “Punjab cannot afford another dark era”, he warned.
He noted that while a bomb blast took place near Rajpura, which was aimed at blowing the railway track, two persons were shot dead in Batala and a grenade was found in a busy Gurdaspur market and all these incidents took place within a span of few hours only.
Warring said that the AAP government in Punjab was not only incompetent, but weak and insecure also. He said, the AAP government instead of keeping an eye on anti-social, anti national elements, criminals and saboteurs, was spending its energies and resources to keep its flock together by keeping close watch on its own MLAs.
The PCC president said the situation in Punjab was going from bad to worse. He pointed out, the gangster culture was already prevailing in Punjab and now the radicalized youth were being used for incidents like Rajpura blast, which does not portend well for Punjab.
“These are ominous and dangerous signs and signals for Punjab, which the government does not seem to be bothered about as it is preoccupied with its own survival”, he remarked, asking it to set its priorities right.
The PCC president also urged the BJP government at the centre that it should also spend its resources and energies in better intelligence and security management in the state, than poaching on the rival parties. “The centre government would do better if it can keep an eye on the enemies of the nation, instead of searching for vulnerable people in other parties”, he remarked, while warning that Punjab being a border state, the central government must take the issue of sabotage and threat to peace seriously.
