Amritsar-In connection with the case of 328 sacred saroops (holy scriptures) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), in accordance with the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, today officially provided the information sought to the team investigating the matter. The information was handed over at the SGPC’s sub-office in Chandigarh under the supervision of SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami.
SGPC President Advocate Dhami stated that, as per the directions of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, all information that was sought in writing by the police investigation team has been duly provided. He said that considering the sensitivity of the issue and its close association with Sikh sentiments, Sri Akal Takht Sahib has also directed that there should be no politicisation, statement-making, or allegations in this matter. He made a special appeal to all concerned parties to strictly adhere to these directions.
Advocate Dhami further said that any additional cooperation formally sought by the investigation team in the future will also be extended. On this occasion, SGPC members and officials were present.
