New Delhi -President of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee S. Harmeet Singh Kalka, extended heartfelt congratulations to 10-year-old master Shravan Singh, a resident of village Chak Tar Wali in the border district of Ferozepur, Punjab, and to his family on being conferred the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar for his extraordinary courage, presence of mind, and selfless service. He remarked that children like master Shravan Singh are the pride of the nation and form the strong foundation of India’s future.
The honour was formally bestowed upon master Shravan Singh today by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
Sardar Kalka informed that this distinguished award was granted in recognition of Master Shravan Singh’s exceptional bravery, alertness, and selfless efforts to protect human lives during Operation Sindoor in May 2025. He noted that the courage showen by the young boy at such a tender age is not only commendable but also a profound source of inspiration for the entire nation.
He further stated that Master Shravan Singh’s bravery stands as a living embodiment of the noble Sikh tradition—one that upholds quiet strength, selfless service, and unwavering resilience as the highest virtues. This honour, he added, will inspire the younger generation to dedicate themselves to the service of humanity and to faithfully uphold their duties towards the nation.
