CHANDIGARH-Punjab Congress Committee president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today alleged that the ‘vote chori’ (vote-theft) under the Bharatiya Janata Party rule in collusion with the Election Commission of India was a harsh reality in today’s India.
Interacting informally with media persons during the signature campaign against the ‘vote-chori’ in Kurali area today, Warring said, the BJP was doing it in a subtle way so that it does not get noticed. “But the fact is that vote theft is taking place in multiple ways”, he asserted.
The PCC president claimed that it is something like a theft committed by a smart thief who tries to eliminate all the evidence so that he is not caught. “Eventually every crime is caught, some crimes take time”, he remarked, while saying that the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was already working on it and had come out with foolproof evidence.
He stated that Gandhi will soon be coming out with more explosive evidence which will be impossible for the BJP to deny.
Warring cautioned people that they must remain alert against the deletion of their names from the electoral rolls. “Wherever the BJP feels it is weak or that a particular section of people will not vote for it, the party in collusion with the Election Commission deletes votes of such people in those particular areas”, he said.
To a question about the Aam Aadmi Party also trying to use similar tactics in Punjab, the PCC president said, he will not be surprised as the AAP in any case is the B-team of the BJP and it follows each and every step of its parent-team.
Warring was accompanied by senior party leaders and prominent workers during his signature campaign. He said, the PCC will submit 15 lakh signatures as part of the AICC’s campaign to collect 5 crore signatures to be submitted to the Election Commission of India, against the ‘vote-chori’ in the country, on October 15.
