Amritsar- On the occasion of the birth anniversary (Parkash Gurpurb) of the first Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev, the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee will be sending a jatha of Sikh pilgrims to Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan in November 2025. The SGPC has initiated the visa process for this pilgrimage, and devotees can submit their passports by August 4, 2025.
Providing details, SGPC Secretary Partap Singh stated that, as in previous years, the SGPC will send a jatha for the occasion of Sri Guru Nanak Dev’s Parkash Gurpurb to visit various historical Gurdwaras in Pakistan. He informed that devotees wishing to visit Gurdwara Janam Asthan Sri Nankana Sahib and other historic Sikh religious places in Pakistan must submit their passports along with a recommendation from the area SGPC member to the SGPC’s Yatra Department by August 4, 2025.
Partap Singh also shared that, along with the passport, devotees must include a photocopy of an identity proof such as an Aadhaar card or Voter ID. He appealed to the Sangat to ensure timely submission of their passports and required documents so that the visa process can be completed in due time.
