AMRITSAR: Former Junior Vice President of Shiromani Committee Principal Surinder Singh, Jathedar Man Singh Hambho, former member of Dharma Pracharak Committee Jathedar Ratan Singh Jafarwal, Babbar Akali Jarnail Singh Kalre, Baba Jang Singh sect head Bunga Mastuana, Baba Chanda Singh Mahant, Sikh historian. Pictures of Swaran Singh Chuslevad and narrator Giani Dalip Singh were decorated. in Central Sikh Museum within Golden Temple complex here today.
The ceremony of removing the veil from the pictures was performed by Giani Amarjit Singh, additional chief Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, Baba Nihal Singh, head of Tarna Dal Harian Velan and member Bhai Manjit Singh.
Speaking on this occasion, Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Additional Chief Granthi Giani Amarjit Singh said that the Central Sikh Museum, which is an important source of Sikh history and heritage, gives them national honor by decorating the pictures of those who sacrificed for the nation.
He said that Principal Surinder Singh has been the junior vice-president of the Shiromani Committee, who gave many preachers to the nation by establishing Sri Anandpur Sahib Sikh Missionary College.
Talking about Jathedar Maan Singh Hambho, he said that Jathedar Sahib participated in many fronts and got arrested and spent a long time in jail.
He was also a member of the Shiromani Committee for 20 years.
Similarly, Jathedar Ratan Singh Jafarwal, a former member of the Dharma Prachar Committee, also spent time in jail during the Punjabi State Morcha and the Dharma Yudh Morcha and while being a member of the Dharm Prachar Committee, did commendable work for the propagation of religion.
Talking about Jarnail Singh Kalre, he said that he made an important contribution to the Babbar Akali movement during the struggle against the British government.
Similarly, Baba Jang Singh sect head Bunga Mastuana, Baba Chanda Singh Mahant and narrator Giani Dalip Singh also rendered notable services for the propagation of Sikhism. Sikh historian The great contribution made by Swaran Singh Chuslevad by writing many books related to Sikh history can never be forgotten.
