MAJITHIA: Punjab Bachao Yatra started by SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal today passed through the Majitha and Ajnala assembly constituencies. According to a party spokesman Sukhbir Singh Badal gave a clarion call for ousting all Delhi based parties including puppet chief minister Bhagwant Mann and placing their trust in the SAD which best represented the aspirations of Punjabis.

SAD leader Bikram Majithia though accompanied Sukhbir Badal but his name was not mentioned in the official press release of the party. The press release said that Anil Joshi and Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema accompanied the SAD president.

Making halts at Ajnala and Majitha during the ongoing Punjab Bachao Yatra, the SAD president “we have come to the people to tell the truth about this anti- Sikh and anti - Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government which has betrayed Punjabis on all fronts. We will expose not only the misrule of the AAP government whose legislators are mixed up with drug smugglers and run illegal sand mining operations, but also the manner in which farmers, youth, women, scheduled castes and trade and industry are being discriminated against leading to all round loss of faith in AAP and the puppet Bhagwant Mann”.

Speaking at Ajnala where is also announced that SGPC member Jodh Singh Samra would be the new Halqa Incharge of the constituency, Mr Sukhbir Badal said “I am witnessing the state of link roads and sewerage infrastructure first hand during the ongoing Yatra. Everything is crumbling but the chief minister is only interested in spending crores to ferry his boss Arvind Kejriwal from one State to another besides indulging in cheap dramas and advertisements which have cost the State Rs 1500 crore in the last two years”.

Mr Badal also talked to farmers at various places in the Yatra route. They rued that they had not received compensation for two crop failures. They also highlighted how MSP was not being given despite assurances to the contrary by the chief minister for pulses and maize.

The Yatra is set to create history with people from all walks of life coming out to support the Cavalcade of Change. In never before scenes roads, towns and villages turned into a sea of Kesri amidst notes of Utho vi Sher Punjabio Punjab Bacha Lo. The scenes at Majitha were to be seen to be believed. They were reminiscent of the anti emergency surge and Dharamyudh Morcha.

Earlier the Yatra halted briefly at Sangat Pura ( Ajnala halka) where one of the numerous Suvidha Centres lies locked, deserted and in a state of total neglect, with broken glasses and termite eaten doors. Mr Badal says that this abandoned and neglected Suvidha centre symbolised the plight to which Punjab’s proxy government of outsiders had reduced the State. Mr Badal listened to the grievances of the people at various stops and assured them the SAD would ensure justice was done to them.

Christians in large numbers also joined the Yatra in Ajnala. Expressing total support for SAD’s vision of peace and communal harmony, they said “ we stand one hundred percent with SAD in saving Punjab. Sikhs, Hindus, Christians, Muslims- everyone will fight alongside SAD to fight outsiders and save Punjab and Punjabis”, a Christian representative told the SAD president.
