Chandigarh- The Haryana Government has decided to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India by celebrating Samvidhan Diwas (Constitution Day) on November 26.
In a letter directed to all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and Deputy Commissioners, Chief Secretary Mr. Sanjeev Kaushal has urged that officers and officials in all government offices, attached and subordinate offices, autonomous bodies, organizations, and institutions, including educational establishments, read the Preamble to the Constitution as part of the celebrations.
The letter further states that talks and webinars on Constitutional values and the fundamentals of the Indian Constitution may also be organized. Citizens are also encouraged to take part in the online 'Read the Preamble' activity. These initiatives will reaffirm our commitment to upholding the Constitution's ideology. Additionally, a provision has been made on the MyGov portal for individuals to 'Read the Preamble' online and download a Certificate.
