New York, Nov 2 (IANS) – The Kamala Harris campaign has encountered fresh controversy following remarks by billionaire backer Mark Cuban regarding women who support Donald Trump. His comment came shortly after President Biden referred to Trump supporters as "garbage, " escalating tensions.
On *The View*, Cuban stated, "Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women. Ever. It's just that simple." This remark drew immediate backlash from Trump's supporters, with spokesperson Karoline Leavitt calling it "extremely insulting" to the numerous women who work for Trump and vote for him. Linda McMahon, co-chair of Trump's transition team, questioned Cuban’s definition of a strong woman, referencing ongoing debates about gender identity within the Democratic Party.
Elise Stefanik, the Republican leader in the House, criticized both Biden and Cuban for their comments, suggesting that they insulted millions of women who support Trump. Trump himself responded by defending the strength of women around him, while Cuban later issued an apology, clarifying that his comments were not intended to offend Trump supporters.
