Amritsar: BJP senior leader Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today hit out at the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s maiden Punjab budget as `directionless', with no provision made for the party’s flagship poll promise of Rs.1000 monthly stipend for women. He said all sectors have been ignored and no concrete steps had been made to correct ailing financial health of the state.

He said the agriculture which is witnessing the worst ever growth crisis, has been neglected as no provision has been made to make the agriculture a lucrative and profiting practice. Chhina said the no attempt has been made to check the rising prices and the budget will further the inflation of goods in the state.

He slammed the Bhagwant Mann’s Government for 'unfulfilled' promise for women. “You came into power riding the popular slogans and the promises made to the voters are not being fulfilled now. The women folk are at the receiving end”, said Chhina adding that the deteriorating law and order situation in state has impacted every citizen but are measures and budgetary provisions made to strengthen law enforcing agencies.

He said the budgetary allocations for the Education, health and infrastructure are dismal and not enough to bring respite to common man.
