Rotaract Himalayan club Chandigarh works for the welfare of people in the Tricity.

Chandigarh  : Rotaract Himalayan club Chandigarh is a non-profit organization run by the youth and works for the welfare of people in the Tricity. They invest in the development of youth and provide humanitarian services to the unprivileged sections of society.

The club organised an event Ecyclothon 2.0. The main agenda of the event was to involve people from all over india to break the monotonous routine and promote the aim of ‘Fit and healthy India’.

Participants in Ecyclothon 2.0 shared the details of the cyclothon through Strava app and shared the screenshot of the same to us.

Its main aim was to motivate cyclists throughout the India to ride for a cause and to provide them with easy interface for rational results and to raise funds for the betterment of the society.

The President of the club Rtr. Surbhi Sethi and the General Secretary of the club Rtr. Navmeet Kaur , along with the Chairpersons Rtr. Bharti sharma and Rtr. Thakur Siddharth Ratanam with their superheads Rtr. Mehak Arora and Rtr. Aashima Goyal put in a lot of time and efforts to make this event a great success.

The participants who won the Cyclothon will be given cash prizes in the closing ceremony which is held on 26th January 2022.

Popular youth icon, pollywood star, an excellent host Mr. Gurpreet Singh Gughi and Mr. Mukesh Kumar, a para-olympic table tennis player, graced the event as the chief guests. Fitness club, Anytime fitness, Raj cycle store and Akhada gym sponsered the event and helped the club in moving one step forward towards their social development agenda.

All the days of Ecyclothon 2.0 went really well.

10 km category

21 km category,  Mr. Akhil Khurana,  Mr. Vikram Ror, Mr. Vishal Singh

42 km category, Mr. Ramesh Handmade,  Mr. Yogesh Karwa,  Ms. Raje Jyoti AmitKumar

The club succeeded in generating a handsome amount of money from this event which furthermore will be channelised in the betterment of Happy Schools , also to serve the  underprivileged sections of the society.
