Chandigarh, Feb 18 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the teachings of great people like Guru Ravidas are still relevant today. “We should learn from the life and teachings of such great personalities and give a message of social harmony in the society”, he added.
In a message issued here today on the eve of Guru Ravidas Jayanti, the Chief Minister said that the great personalities like Guru Ravidas had given the message of social harmony in the society through their teachings even when conservative thinking and ignorance was prevalent in the society. In the era of Information Technology in 21st Century, it is our duty to inform the young generation about the teachings of such great personalities, he added.
For the first time, the present State Government has given the message of social harmony in the society by organising the birth anniversaries of great personalities like Guru Ravidas, Maharishi Valmiki, Sant Kabir Das at government level and giving the message to the young generation of the relevance of their teachings in today’ time.
