Chandigarh Press Club condemned gunpoint carjacking with TOI Journalist

The Chandigarh Press Club condemned the incident of gunpoint carjacking with Times of India Journalist Damini Goel, on the intervening night of November 8 and 9, at Amartex light point in Panchkula, when she was on her way back from office to home.

Recently, a Hindustan Times journalist Prince Dhanta’s car was also robbed in Mohali.

The Chandigarh Press Club governing council urged the police chiefs of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali, to increase night patrolling in tricity so that journalists, who return to their homes during late night hours, after completing their jobs, should feel secure and safe.

The governing council also takes up the matter with Haryana and Punjab police, to catch the criminals at the earliest in both the cases.
