Mohali - A campaign launched by PSPCL to check suspected cases of theft and other violations as per instructions of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited CMD Shri A. Venu Prasad, director distribution Er. DPS Grewal and CE South Er Ravinder Singh Saini is getting momentum and yielding good results.
PSPCL Superintending Engineer, distribution Mohali circle, Er.Mohit Sood disclosed that various distribution teams from Mohali , Lalru & Zirakpur divisions have raided on premises of 1090 consumers of different categories in past 2 days and imposed fine of Rs. 12.83 lacs against 6 no. of theft cases and Rs. 43.05 lacs against 97 no. of UUE and other violation cases amounting to total of Rs. 55.88 Lacs for theft and other violations.
In addition to this, due to the month of March 2021, continual drive to recover the defaulting amount is being conducted by PSPCL and during the last week, defaulting amount of Rs. 103.26 lacs have been recovered from defaulters by various divisions under distribution circle mohali. Er.Mohit Sood has appealed to consumers to deposit their pending electricity bills at the earliest to prevent any kind of inconvenience.
Punjab State Power Corporation Limited has appealed to all its consumers to help PSPCL in controlling the menace of theft of electricity by providing information about theft of power for campaign against theft of electricity in the state.
